I remember being so addicted to Beverly Hills 90210. I would wait for it weekly, waiting for what will happen to the eight people I’d grown to love:
- Jason Priestley as Brandon Walsh
- Shannen Doherty as Brenda Walsh (Brandon’s twin sister)
- Jennie Garth as Kelly Taylor
- Ian Ziering as Steve Sanders
- Gabrielle Carteris as Andrea Zuckerman
- Luke Perry as Dylan McKay (the reason I was watching the show religiously, even after Shannen’s departure)
- Brian Austin Green as David Silver
- Tori Spelling as Donna Martin
I remember being so disappointed when Shannen left the show. Notice how a show is never the same when a member of the original cast leaves?
Now, there’s a spinoff of this much beloved zipcode. I just hope it will live up to the expectations of many. I heard the show will be really raunchy with the first episode having a blowjob scene right off.

The movie, For the First Time, starring local cinemas KC Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez, reportedly earned a cool Php15 million in its first week of showing. Considering the state of the economy nowadays, that is really a BIG amount!
But I have a theory why it earned that much… novelty. This is KC’s first movie and the first team up between the two. KC is daughter of local showbiz Megastar Sharon Cuneta and comebacking actor Gabby Concepcion. She was sheltered and was sparsely shown to the masses. Seeing her acting now is something new to most people.
Story-wise, the movie is so-so.

Thank goodness. Ely Buendia, current Pupil vocalist and former Eraserheads frontman, is now in stable condition according to his manager. He was rushed to the hospital during the E-heads reunion concert yesterday.
Due to chest pains, the singer collapsed during the concert and was rushed to the Makati Medical Center but was later transferred to the Philippine Heart Center for recovery. Rumors has it the singer had to undergo a triple bypass surgery this time. He had two angioplasty done on him about a year or so ago.
Get well soon, Ely!

It was reported that the Eraserheads reunion concert held at The Fort open grounds was attended by no less than 60,000 people. More people than those who attended the Beyonce concert on the same venue.
Phenomenal!

I had to take time off because The Couch Potato had to go off her couch to get some things done. But now that I am back, expect a deluge of updates on what is happening around, locally and internationally.

It was one event that everyone was waiting for. It started as a rumor and then got widespread news through blog posts and text messages.
The Eraserheads was having a reunion concert!
If you are a Filipino, the Eraserheads, or E-heads to loyal fans like me, is a popular band of the 90s. Composed of Ely Buendia, Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala and Marcus Adoro, they set new records while they were still a band. They started a fresh wave of Manila band invasions. Their Ultraelectromagneticpop album broke records when it was released. I still love playing their songs over and over, especially With A Smile.
So the reunion concert was set yesterday, August 30 at 8pm. It was held at The Fort open grounds. The concert started without a hitch. 15 songs straight with a few words here and there. And then all of a sudden, the band asked for a 20-minute break. There was a count down. 20 minutes after, there was still no band on the stage. Until 5 minutes after the break, the band came out minus Ely. Lally, Ely’s sister, read an announcement stating that Ely passed out and had to be rushed to the hospital. The concert was cut short.
Everyone went home quietly after the announcement. It was eerie, sources said.
