Yay to Nick and Starr Spangler for winning the 13th season of the Amazing Race! The siblings were spectacular! They were very competitive, winning six of the nine challenges leading up to the finale—a tie for the series’ best record. They won not only $1 million but have racked up an impressive array of booty throughout the season, including his-and-hers electric cars and trips to Belize, Anguilla and Hawaii.

I was actually rooting for them since episode 1 of the show. I love how they did not fight with any other team and have always been pleasant as much as they could. They also didn’t fight with each other which is another impressive feat. I believe that they complement each other, that’s why. While Starr is the worrier, Nick is the calm and collected one.

The sibling duo, the star of off-Broadway’s The Fantasticks and a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, respectively, beat the separated husband and wife team of Ken and Tina Greene, who came second, and frat brothers Andrew Lappitt and Dan Honig, who traveled under the moniker “Team Superbad.”
