Where can I find this movie?!

I don’t know if it’s just me but have you noticed how Angel Locsin is being pushed to different big named actors of ABS-CBN? First, it’s Piolo Pascual. Have you seen an episode of Lobo? Corny grabe! Now, it’s Diether Ocampo and Sam Milby via the Koreanovela remake, Only You. The network giant is forcing the viewing public to buy the supposed chemistry between Angel and her leading man/men but it’s just not there. I suggest they find the perfect partner for her first or let her do a teleserye where she need not have a love interest. Masyadong pilit kasi!

But there’s no denying the fact that Angel has come a long way since her Kapuso days. Acting-wise, she’s better now than in her Mulawin days. Even critics are praising her improved acting skills.

And she can’t complain about not being known abroad anymore. Remember her London stint? Nobody knew her then! Now, I just hope she’s ready to get mobbed when she go to places abroad where there’s TFC.

There’s a new movie being shot by Robert Pattinson. It’s called Remember Me and it’s a romantic drama, I read. The shooting is always marred by screaming girls who mob RPatz when they see a chance to. He almost got hit by a taxicab when he’s trying to escape a throng of fans following him from the set to his trailer. Crazy!

And then, there’s a cracking wall. Shooting was momentarily stopped because they are concerned about the cracking wall, thinking it might collapse any minute. I think there’s an industrial equipment that they’re concerned about as well.

Oh well, I guess if it’s RPatz, the crazier the things are at the set, the more fans like him. Such a cute guy! Hehe

Michael Jackson reportedly died of cardiac arrest on Thursday. He was only 50.

Jackson was pronounced dead at 2:26 p.m. PDT (5:26 p.m. EDT) after arriving at a Los Angeles hospital in full cardiac arrest, said Fred Corral of the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office. The cause of death was not known and an autopsy would likely take place on Friday, he said.

This is a very sad day for his family and friends and all his fans. My heart goes out to his three kids. I hope that they will go to a loving family member and one who won’t be more interested with whatever MJ had left in his enormous estate.

Rest in peace, Michael Jackson.

Happy Friday everyone!

Why would you insist on adopting a kid who still has parents, who in turn do not have any intention of giving their kid away? Why?

Above is Madonna with her newly adopted kid, Mercy James from Malawi. Ever since Angelina Jolie started this trend of adopting kids from different parts of the world, celebrities followed suit. It’s like a fad where everyone wants to be “in”. Even local celebrities like Claudine Barretto is into the bandwagon.

Adoption is a very good option to those who can’t have kids of their own. Or those who does not want to undergo labor. Or those having problems with their health. I have been thinking about this myself because I have doubts about my reproductive system.

Sure, some of these celebrities actually have good intentions. Probably like what Madonna’s camp is saying that they want to give the kid a better future. But to actually force to adopt a kid…

Just couldn’t understand this.

I am all for using sports to divert teens from vices. A local government official had basketball courts, badminton courts, skaetboard ramps, and put up sports equipments for everyone’s use. So many teens are actually using the facilities. Even my cousins just finished a basketball league in that basketball court. Great idea! Especially now that so many kids are using up their free time online. Instead of always on the internet, they could go out and play basketball or badminton or even skate.

Of course, with the movie coming out in a few months from now, they will capitalize on it. Stephenie Meyer’s sequel to the bestseller Twilight, New Moon, now has a new cover.

It shows Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) locked in an embrace with the wolf, Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) while a copper-eyed Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) moons over them.

Perez Hilton is accusing the Black Eyed Peas frontman, Will.I.Am, of assaulting him outside a Toronto club in an after-party for the MuchMusic Video Awards where Perez was a presenter.

According to his account, he was first confronted by Fergie for the negative posts Perez wrote about her. He’s called her fugly on several occasions. After that, Will.I.Am came up to him and asked him right to his face never to write about Black Eyed Peas in his blog again. Enraged, Perez called the frontman a “faggot”, and left the club after. Upon stepping out of the club, he was hit in the right eye by the band’s manager, 2-3 times according to Perez.

And here is a video from Will.I.Am himself, denying Perez’ allegations of an assault. I believe he’s claiming a random fan attacked the blogger. Duh!

I believe Perez more than Will.I.Am. He’s right, he doesn’t need any press so there’s no reason for him to make things up. And violence should never be the answer to anything. Bloggers are entitled to their opinion. Sure, Perez dishes it out more “eloquently”. He says things hurtful at times. But that is not enough reason to hit him. The “faggot” thing is just way too bad. He shouldn’t have said that at all. Again, hitting him should never have been the answer to it.

People these days…

I can’t wait for this movie to be shown here in Manila. The Proposal starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. It’s so funny and the two really have a chemistry!

Here is a preview of the much-awaited (on my part, anyway) small screen adaptation of The Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith. A preview of the up coming tv series is shown below, with vampire brothers Stefan and Damon arguing about Elena.

I’ve read the four books and if they stay true to the books, I believe the series will be really great! I know, I know. So many vampire series and movies being shown these days. What with the popularity of True Blood and the Twilight Saga. But believe me, this series is different. Equally enjoyable. And girls will surely fall in love with Stefan and Damon even if they’re different as night and day.

Can’t wait to watch the premiere!

Have you seen Lindsay Lohan lately? My goodness! That woman needs to eat more food! Have you seen her bones protruding in photos taken of her? Scary, I tell you. Being thin is entirely different from being healthy. Thin as a stick is not healthy! I was reading diet pill reviews and being thin should not be the goal of those who will be taking it. Do not think of having the same body as Lindsay because it’s not good. Be healthy in a good way. If I drink diet pills, it will surely to lose excess weight and I will stop when I already achieve my ideal weight. Makes sense?

ABS-CBN really scored big with their primetime teleserye Tayong Dalawa. From the get go, this soap has garnered, and is continuously garnering, high ratings because of its fast-paced, rich story about two men who share the same name, the same fate, and the same love for the same woman.

The teleserye stars Gerald Anderson and Jake Cuenca, both as David Garcia, Jr. One goes by the nickname JR, while the other’s Dave. Their lives are intertwined, not knowing at the start that they are actually twins separated at birth. If you think the story is quite predictable, think again. This teleserye has captured the attention of avid teleserye fans as well as those who are not regular viewers of this kind of show like me.

You know, the thing that I love the most in this teleserye is that, it’s not far from reality. Some situations shown in the teleserye can happen in real life. I love the characters of Coco Martin, who plays Ramon, big brother to JR, Greta, played by the talented Alessandra de Rossi, who is madly in love with JR, and to whom Ramon is in love in return, Cherry Pie Picache (Marlyn) and Gina Pareño (Lola Gets), mother and grandmother to JR and Ramon, respectively. The irritatingly good Agot Isidro as Ingrid with Helen Gamboa (more on her in my next post) as her mom. Kim Chiu, who plays the love interest of both JR and Dave, is really good. For a relatively new young star, she can truly compete with the giant networks big stars. Judy Ann Santos and Claudine Baretto come to mind.

Tayong Dalawa was supposed to end last April. But since there’s a clamor for it to be extended, plus the fact that there really is more to tell in the story, it is extended. The powers behind the soap can’t really say until when. I guess they are holding out on the 35+ ratings that the teleserye is getting night after night. I think they should set a date and make an exit when people are still hooked to it. Don’t drag the story just because it’s getting big bucks in terms of sponsorships.

I’m not! Adam Lambert‘s obviously gay from Day 1 of American Idol Season 8. It was just a matter of officially telling everyone about it.

And he took time to say it out loud! It took a cover of Rolling Stone for him to admit his sexuality.

Now, he’s out officially. Finally!
