Bongbong on Pacquiao, Krista and Kris By Wilson Lee Flores (read full article)
I’m not judging the Krista and Pacquiao scandal from a moralizing standpoint, but I sincerely believe that the stability of a society is built upon the bedrock of harmonious families with solid family values. Extramarital flings or affairs not only breed personal emotional chaos and possible financial stresses, but wreak social havoc and also affect the kids. If it is true that Krista and the married Manny Pacquiao are carrying on an illicit affair, then they are wrong.

Well said.

So much have been said about the Manny Pacquiao-Krista Ranillo love affair. Truth be told, I do believe there’s something going on. How do you define the “coincidences” that took place. First, in HongKong. Then, in the plane going back to Manila. Those times in Baguio (with photos). Krista with her dad, actor Matt Ranillo III. And then the relief missions. Lastly, the Las Vegas scenes. Could be a promo for their upcoming movie, Wapakman? I doubt it! That’s going to extremes. Plus, why would Jinkee Pacquiao, Manny’s wife, even drop the name of the starlet if there’s nothing going on, right?
My take on this is: Krista’s a starlet who saw the opportunity for a few minutes on the spotlight took it and did her best to “befriend” the popular boxer. Manny, on the other hand, can’t distinguish what’s real and reel (probably from too many punches to the head). He grabbed the opportunity to show off his machismo and accepted Krista’s “friendship”.
And then all hell broke loose! Hahahaha

I don’t know if it’s just me but have you noticed how Angel Locsin is being pushed to different big named actors of ABS-CBN? First, it’s Piolo Pascual. Have you seen an episode of Lobo? Corny grabe! Now, it’s Diether Ocampo and Sam Milby via the Koreanovela remake, Only You. The network giant is forcing the viewing public to buy the supposed chemistry between Angel and her leading man/men but it’s just not there. I suggest they find the perfect partner for her first or let her do a teleserye where she need not have a love interest. Masyadong pilit kasi!
But there’s no denying the fact that Angel has come a long way since her Kapuso days. Acting-wise, she’s better now than in her Mulawin days. Even critics are praising her improved acting skills.
And she can’t complain about not being known abroad anymore. Remember her London stint? Nobody knew her then! Now, I just hope she’s ready to get mobbed when she go to places abroad where there’s TFC.

Two articles about the ongoing brouhaha that is called “Hayden Cam” sex video scandal. Loved both messages of the articles. One serious, the other sarcastic.
Here are the links and I hope you read them…
Those sex videos and us by Jim Paredes
To quote some of the things I like in the article by Jim Paredes…
Social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Multiply and others seem to have created a generation of low-level narcissists, exhibitionists and voyeurs…
The Internet has become our cyber body, mind and nervous system. Everyone is now part of everyone else. And this Internet “mind” we all share, just like the human mind described by Freud and Jung, harbors both our good and bad sides and everything in between. Thus, it broadcasts our activities that are for public consumption and also, when you analyze it, the shadows that live within us.
If it is acceptable to post almost everything in our lives on the Net, then why is it a surprise that our sex lives are suddenly included as well? In no way do I mean that posting anything that violates a person’s privacy is correct or even understandable. But sadly, I think there is a perverse inevitability to it.
Instead of getting lost in this demeaning circus that tempts us to trivialize and even laugh at other people’s suffering, we may want to retain our humanity and spare its victims the inhumanity of all this by simply refusing to watch those blasted sex videos.
AMEN.
Why Sarah Geronimo is a better youth role model than Hayden Kho, Jr. by Wilson Lee Flores
My fave quote in Wilson Lee Flores’s article…
Unlike the now controversial mother of Hayden, the Spanish mestiza Irene de la Santa Kho, who went ballistic on national TV to blame Katrina Halili, Senator Bong Revilla and Ang Pilipino Star Ngayon columnist Lolit Solis, the parents of Sarah Geronimo former PLDT lineman Delfin Geronimo and wife Divina are paragons of humility, moral rectitude, discipline and emotional balance.
When I inquired how she and her husband brought up Sarah to become a level-headed and good young lady, someone admired as much for her talent as well as her positive persona, Divina Geronimo replied: “We only taught our daughter two things: obey God’s teachings and your parents, then all will be okay.”
Classic!
And by the way, I am a huge fan of Sarah Geronimo. Eversince I watched those movies with John Lloyd Cruz and reading several pages of a magazine article about her. Such a humble kid with so much respect for her parents.

What happened to Jolina Magdangal? I am watching the replay of GMA-7’s environment special Signos when a teaser of upcoming shows was shown. She was shown with Marvin Agustin. My sister asked who the girl was. I thought it was Ate Gay! You know that gay impersonator of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo?
What did she do to herself??? Hair cut so short and not even styled properly. Still looking jologs as ever! Hay.
Marvin was able to maintain his matinee looks. Jolina, on the other hand, became more and more has-been looking! What a shame!

May your soul rest in peace, Francis “Kiko” Magalona.
Your music will continue to live on.

This is really touching!
I’ve read in PEP.ph and some local newspapers that when Tony Tuviera, big boss of TAPE, Inc., the company behind the longest-running noontime variety show Eat Bulaga!, learned that Francis Magalona was diagnosed with leukemia and would undergo chemotherapy, the big boss immediately said that he would shoulder all the medical expenses of the master rapper.
Wow!
Chemo medicines are no joke. It’s really expensive, not to mention that staying in the hospital could take weeks. Imagine the amount it all amounted to! It was reported that last October 2008 when FrancisM almost died due to sepsis, he stayed in The Medical City for more than 40 days.
In these times when the economy is down and you wouldn’t expect this much generosity from someone, then came Tony Tuviera! I hope there will be more Tony T.’s out there!

Master rapper/popular tv host-singer, Francis Magalona, died at 12:20 pm today, March 6, at the Medical City hospital in Pasig City, from leukemia. It was announced on national tv by comedian, Vic Sotto, on the longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga. The stars of the popular noontime show broke into tears as they prayed for the soul of their friend, Kiko.
He battled cancer for almost eight months before finally succumbing to it. He died of heart failure, a common cause of death by people suffering from cancer.
FrancisM was only 44.

This is one of the last 3 photos he posted in his Multiply blog.
I am a huge fan of FrancisM. He’s one of the few singers in the country who knew how to transform a nationalistic song into a cool one. Mga Kababayan Ko will always be one of the greatest songs he produced.
I love Kaleidoscope World the most, though
In his last blog entry, he related that he would be undergoing his 4th chemotherapy cycle and was asking for prayers from everyone.
So sad.
