My family and I are very much hooked on this TV series. It’s called GRIMM and the series put on a unique twists to the fairy tales written by the Grimm brothers. I just love how the stories are given a twist. It’s so riveting and, I swear, if you begin watching the show you will want to follow the series.
What I want to know is what’s the role of the chief of police in everything that’s happening. He’s the only one that the Grimm can’t see for who he is.
Are you watching the series?

What’s with TV5?!? The stations been pirating ABS-CBN and GMA7 actors and actresses left and right! And what’s with the staggering amount of contracts being dangled over their heads? Millions of pesos being thrown away like it’s nothing!
Their latest ‘acquisition’ was Derek Ramsay. Rumor has it that the actor was offered a P600M contract over a span of three years. That’s P200M per year! My goodness! Is he worth it? I mean, come on! The guy is truly handsome. He is a good actor and a commercial model. He is an athlete as well. But is he really worth that much money?
I don’t know about ethics and such but I do think that the indecent amount TV5 offers to potential contract stars of their network is just way beyond the norm. And there’s something not right about it!

FRIENDS is my favorite sitcom of all time! It’s a good escape from all the bleakness of life. A re-run of season 4 is being shown on etc (Channel 14 on Global Destiny cable provider) and I tell you, even after more than a decade it could still make me laugh!
I believe most of us can relate to the situations characters in the sitcom have. Siblings Ross and Monica with the former an achiever in and out of school, now a professional, therefore the parents’ favorite; and the latter the one always with fault in their mother’s eyes. Roommates and best friends Chandler and Joey, the former coming from a dysfunctional family wherein his father is gay while his mom is a popular book author who happens to be just as popular to men; the latter is from a large and loving Italian family. Two more female friends in the characters of Rachel and Phoebe with the former a spoiled brat coming from a rich family while the latter grew up also in a dysfunctional family, in the care of her grandmother.
Different situations in life and yet thrown together by their love for coffee (as evidenced by their place of hangout, the Coffee Perk).
My favorite characters are Chandler, Joey and Phoebe. Monica is my least favorite character with her obsessive-compulsive disorder.
I just love FRIENDS!

Looking good!
Have you seen Raymond Gutierrez‘s billboard for Sexy Solutions? He’s transformed! He obviously lost a lot of weight as he used to be really chubby and his clothes looked like it were about to burst in the seams! But now, Raymond looks more and more like his hunk of a twin, Richard.
Sexy Solutions is a Belo company. I believe it’s the baby of Vicki Belo‘s daughter Cristalle Henares.

So the President of the Philippines Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III or simply called PNoy by Filipinos is dating Korean GMA-7 TV host Grace Lee. That’s fine. The woman is obviously smart and pretty and articulate. It wouldn’t have been a big deal as the president is a bachelor and Grace is single. Nothing wrong with that. The president deserves a love life.
But to actually flaunt it to every single Filipino with a television or newspaper subscription by entertaining media people’s interviews about it…
Grace Lee now has a negative impact on majority of Filipinos. You know why? It seems to us that she’s enjoying the attention she’s getting out of the relationship! My suggestion is for her to tone down the gushing and decline the interview offers!

It is one of the most watched series in the US and I do believe around the world where there’s cable and it’s being shown. Here at home, we are huge fans of the series. We root for Rick and hate Shane a lot!
Actually, right this very moment we are having a marathon of season 1. We can’t wait for the 3rd season to start again. But I read somewhere that it will be a few more months wait before we know what happens to the group after they saw that Sophia turned into a walker.
Are you a fan of The Walking Dead as well?

Budoy is a teleserye in ABS-CBN starring Gerald Anderson in the title role. It is about a teenager with special needs and the trials he and his family are facing.
The story, according to reviews I’ve read, is really good. Heartwarming. It’s touched so many lives and people are really looking forward to it every night. And then all of a sudden, there’s a barrage of Facebook and Twitter updates that said Budoy, after a surgery, is now normal! How can that even happen when the teleserye is not supernatural!
It’s funny how some writers can butcher a really good story. Sayang yung ganda ng Budoy!

Melanie Amaro is declared the winner in X Factor USA Season 1!
You might not know this but Melanie has been my bet since day 1 of the competition. She, together with Drew and Chris Rene were my bets. I am really glad that Melanie won because talent prevailed in the competition and not just popularity alone. She will be awarded with a $5 million record deal and a Pepsi ad campaign.
Congrats, Melanie!

I am hooked on X Factor USA! Originally, my bet was Drew Ryniewicz. But her performance after that Just A Dream by Nelly version of hers went spiraling downward. My bet became Melanie Amaro after I stopped becoming in awe of Drew’s performances.
I also like Josh Krajcik and Chris Rene.
Who is your bet?

What the hell TV5 big boss Manny V. Pangilinan was thinking???
There is a breaking news on the net today that Sharon Cuneta managed to bag a 1B-peso deal with TV5! The deal supposedly includes a talk show ala-Oprah. Whatever that deal includes I don’t think Sharon is still worth that much money. Consider the ratings of her recent TV shows in ABS-CBN. Can we all say flop queen?!? Even the interesting Pinoy edition of The Biggest Loser didn’t rate that much because people were talking about how she hosted the show and she was the one who didn’t even lose weight!
And for TV5 to give her that much for a contract with them? I don’t think Sharon is even worth 50M pesos anymore! Her popularity has waned over the past couple of years. She even is no longer the endorsement queen as Kris Aquino is apparently more credible than her. And John Lloyd Cruz for that matter.
Whether the scoop by Ricky Lo is true or false, the fact remains that Sharon Cuneta is no longer the megastar that she was. Her star is no longer as shiny as it used to and let’s face it, she’s LAOS na!

I actually miss the Roloffs and their farm! I used to watch Little People, Big World daily at 11 in the morning at TLC. But for some reason, they stopped showing it locally so now I only get to read about them on the net. I know their show’s been canceled in the US. I just wish TLC will show reruns locally.
I miss watching this family go about their daily lives.

Revenge. This is new series from ABC which began just four days ago, September 21. I saw a teaser of the first episode while reading about an entertainment news and I was instantly intrigued and sucked in! Below is a blurb of what the show is all about…
Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp), whose real name is Amanda Clarke, decides to move back to the Hamptons to take revenge on the people who caused the destruction of her family and death of her father David (James Tupper). When she was a little girl, Emily/Amanda experienced her father getting arrested and her life getting completely destroyed. She ended up in juvenile detention center and inherited the wealth of her father on her 18th birthday. She changes her name to Emily and decides to take revenge on the people who caused the destruction of her family.
Emily’s first subject is Lydia Davis (Amber Valletta). Davis was Emily’s father’s secretary and testified against him. Davis is also friends with Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe). Emily reveals to Victoria at a Memorial Day party that Lydia has been having an affair with her husband, Conrad (Henry Czerny). Emily discovers this after spotting the two at the Southfork Inn when Conrad falls ill and needs emergency medical attention. Emily/Amanda continues by becoming friends with Victoria’s son Danny (Joshua Bowman), which later turns out to be more than just a friendship. Five months later Danny is murdered at their engagement party.
Just after her arrival in the Hamptons, Emily/Amanda meets two of her old friends again. The first is Jack Porter (Nick Wechsler), who met her when she was just a little girl. They were friends in the past; now, Jack owns a boat, which is named Amanda. Emily isn’t actually pleased when she sees him again after all these years, so she flees. At the engagement party of Emily and Danny, Jack’s brother Declan is the one who finds the dead body on the beach. Secondly, there’s Nolan Ross (Gabriel Mann). Nolan was the one who picked up Emily/Amanda when she was released from the juvenile detention center and transferred her father’s wealth to her. Nolan quickly recognizes Emily and realizes exactly what her plans are. He offers to help her, but she rejects him.

Are you intrigued as well?
I will be watching the first episode either tomorrow or the day after. After doing some important errands I will be off watching Who’s Next on Emily’s Revenge list!

ABS-CBN has this tendency to do an overkill when it comes to covering an event. Like the recently concluded 2011 Miss Universe pageant. I understand that they bought exclusive rights to air the show and, most likely, they spent a lot for it. They sent Dyan Castillejo to follow the country’s representative Shamcey Supsup so they really have a lot of footage ready to be shown in their news programs.
But it just reeks of overkill when all you see in one show after another and even in their commercial spots is the face of Shamcey Supsup. The pageant already ended. The lady placed 3rd. I do think it’s about time they let her rest a bit so people won’t get tired of seeing her everywhere!

Wow! I just read this UsMagazine.com article that Bruce Jenner freaked out when he learned that his 15-year-old daughter Kendall with the Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner is already on birth control!
It was most likely shown in an episode of their reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians. There was a clip accompanying the article showing Bruce confronting Kris about Kendall’s prescription. He asked why he was getting Kendall birth control pills from the pharmacy. Kris told her husband that the birth control pills will help Kendall with the severe menstrual cramps that she experiences during her period. It doesn’t mean that Kendall was sexually active already. But, of course, being a father didn’t stop Bruce from worrying about his daughter growing up so fast!
It’s actually not unheard of, teens using birth control pills to regulate their menstrual period. It is also normal for parents to worry when they hear that their teenage kid is already on the pills.

I’ve seen this article in omg! in Yahoo! and I was surprised to see the Gosselin sextuplets all grown up! I’ve been watching Jon & Kate Plus 8 back then and I forgot just how little the kids were. I think the show started when they were 3 years old, right? And now they are 7! The sextuplets are Aaden, Alexis Joel, Hannah, Leah, and Collin.
The photo above shows the sextuplets with their mom Kate Gosselin getting some Italian ice cream near their Pennsylvania home in April. The twins Cara and Mady are 10 years old this year.

I think remaking classic teleseryes is a bad decision. Have you see an episode of the remake of Mula Sa Puso? The teleserye ended already. I saw a few episodes while waiting for TV Patrol and talk about mediocre acting! The lead stars were blah at best! I don’t know why that starlet Lauren Young was given a chance to topbill a classic teleserye. She had only one expression that of a worried young lass. She was nowhere near Claudine Barretto‘s acting prowess. And that guy who took over the role of the late Rico Yan? My goodness! I don’t know where ABS-CBN got that man! He clearly needed another talent workshop before being asked to step into a lead role!
Remaking a classic is bad decision. I hope the giant TV networks (ABS-CBN, GMA7 and TV5) will stop remaking classic teleseryes and movies and instead create new ones that will appeal to this day’s generation.

I am a huge fan of the Pretty Little Liars books and tv series. I especially like Aria Montgomery played by Lucy Hale and Ezra Fitz played by Ian Harding. They’re a couple in the show although if this kind of relationship happens in real life, it’ll be jail time for Mr. Fitz’s character! You see, they play teacher and high school student. We all know that an intimate relationship between teacher and student isn’t permitted in our society. But in the tv series, they are so cute together you can’t help but root for their relationship!
Here’s a fan art, a picture of the two of them with a conversation they had on one of the episodes in season 1…

Aria: You wanna be real? Forget about theory. What does it feel like when we’re together?
Ezra: Good, it feels… right. I wanna be with you, I wanna hang out at the bar, introduce you to my friends, split a plate of fries like everybody else but I don’t think we can do that.
When I’m with you I don’t care about anybody else.
Aria: So, are you talking yourself into this or out of it?
Ezra: Yes… No… Maybe.
Aria: Look, we’re here now and it’s just the two of us, and it feels good. So let’s not care together.
You can just feel the fear they have for their illicit relationship at the same time feel their genuine love for each other and their frustration on their situation.
Love them!
I’m such an Ezra-Aria fan!

If you don’t know who the person is in the photo above, I suggest you watch Pretty Little Liars in ABC. He is Ian Harding playing Mr. Ezra Fitz in the US tv series adapted from a series of books by Sara Shepard.
Ian plays the English teacher to high school students. He is in a relationship with one of his students played by Lucy Hale. Bad teacher! Hot man!!!

It’s not working. ABS-CBN should admit it that Willie Revillame was the only one who was able to succeed in the noontime slot. Wowowee was the only show that was able to put up a fight against the institution in noontime shows that is Eat Bulaga.
They need to think of something else. A new formula for a noontime show. Stop with copying Eat Bulaga and their old Wowowee show. Stop putting Mariel Rodriguez in their noontime shows because she isn’t interesting anymore! Toni Gonzaga I can understand that she’s a good host. But Randy Santiago and John Estrada just don’t seem too funny without Willie.
I think the giant network better get ideas from the viewing public. Hold a contest for fresh ideas! And then use the winning concept and try that out.
