Magnitude 8.8 earthquake hits Chile

ChileEarthquake

With the recent 8.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Chile, I am sure Hollywood stars and other media personalities are preparing to lend a helping hand to the victims. Much like what they did to Haiti.

When I saw the photos, it really broke my heart. And it scared the hell out of me! What if it happens here in the country? I pray to God it won’t happen here or anywhere else.

Let’s all pray for the victims. Let’s all do our part and lend a helping hand whichever way we can.

michaeljackson

Michael Jackson reportedly died of cardiac arrest on Thursday. He was only 50.

Jackson was pronounced dead at 2:26 p.m. PDT (5:26 p.m. EDT) after arriving at a Los Angeles hospital in full cardiac arrest, said Fred Corral of the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office. The cause of death was not known and an autopsy would likely take place on Friday, he said.

This is a very sad day for his family and friends and all his fans. My heart goes out to his three kids. I hope that they will go to a loving family member and one who won’t be more interested with whatever MJ had left in his enormous estate.

Rest in peace, Michael Jackson.

Must read!

oprah

This article glued me to my desktop for almost an hour! I read it through and have made some searches. I love Oprah! But I am not blind to her seemingly self-righteous remarks. Like she has this tone that clearly says she is the only person who can do no wrong in the whole world. She can be that way sometimes. Remember James Frey? But this article…

Read the article from Newsweek: Why ‘Oprah’ advice could make you sick.

I almost forgot I have so many pending tasks to finish so I can get some sleep!

I’ll write down my opinion regarding the article later in the day.

Happy Monday everyone! Have a productive week!

John Travolta’s son died

Jett Travolta, son of Hollywood A-List actor, John Travolta, died after apparently hitting his head on the bathtub and suffering from a seizure. The 16-year-old had a history of seizures. It is not yet sure if the seizures were brought on by his Kawasaki disease.

The whole family, including John’s wife, Kelly Preston, and 8-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu, were vacationing at their home in the Old Bahama Bay resort community. The whole community are in shock over what happened.

This is really so sad. Let’s pray their whole family will be strong enough to handle what happened.

Yes He Can!

It was a historic win for US President-elect Barack Obama. He is the first African-American to hold the highest office in the US government. What a feat! Hats off to you, Mr. Obama! I do hope that now the change that the American people have been clamoring for would soon start to happen.

Congratulations, Mr. President!

Hurricane Gustav has landed in Louisiana.

Hurricane Gustav reached Category 4. Scary! I pray that all of you are safe out there. I was watching CNN and it said that the hurricane has now landed in Louisiana. I was really scared when I saw the wharf and the water pouring over the edge.

Thank goodness most of the people in the area were already evacuated. We don’t want another Katrina, that’s for sure. I just hope those who are stubbornly refusing to evacuate will come to their senses and transfer to safer grounds before the hurricane lashes out in its full force.
