It’s really good to know that even though Vanessa Hudgens is no longer with Zac Efron, she and Ashley Tisdale are still BFF’s. The photo above is of the two of them shopping for a Christmas tree together with Vanessa’s new boyfriend, Austin Butler (not in photo).

George Clooney has another arm candy to show off in Hollywood! After his affair with Elisabetta Canalis in June, former professional wrestler Stacy Keibler is now his newest conquest! They are said to be spending a lot of time together and George is not shy about telling everyone about the two of them.

Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling. Two very good-looking persons and now together sharing their good looks with each other. Yay! The two are said to be engaged in amorous adventures: sipping red wine in Paris, hiking in Hollywood and goofing around at Disneyland. Sweet!

Budoy is a teleserye in ABS-CBN starring Gerald Anderson in the title role. It is about a teenager with special needs and the trials he and his family are facing.

The story, according to reviews I’ve read, is really good. Heartwarming. It’s touched so many lives and people are really looking forward to it every night. And then all of a sudden, there’s a barrage of Facebook and Twitter updates that said Budoy, after a surgery, is now normal! How can that even happen when the teleserye is not supernatural!

It’s funny how some writers can butcher a really good story. Sayang yung ganda ng Budoy!

Melanie Amaro is declared the winner in X Factor USA Season 1!

You might not know this but Melanie has been my bet since day 1 of the competition. She, together with Drew and Chris Rene were my bets. I am really glad that Melanie won because talent prevailed in the competition and not just popularity alone. She will be awarded with a $5 million record deal and a Pepsi ad campaign.

I am sending over sympathy flowers to a friend of mine who is feeling down now that she was told by her boss that she didn’t meet their expectations. She is in peril of not getting her performance bonus which should have been given to her back in November. According to her boss, they are looking at the mistakes she’s made since her start in the company and it will determine whether she deserves the bonus or not.

I just find it heartless for her boss to count as a mistake a little thing like an erroneous date. I mean, hey, everyone have their off days and my friend only made that mistake once, when her boss was breathing down her neck to print the documents as soon as possible!

I just feel sorry for my friend that she works for bosses who are heartless and inconsiderate!

I am hooked on X Factor USA! Originally, my bet was Drew Ryniewicz. But her performance after that Just A Dream by Nelly version of hers went spiraling downward. My bet became Melanie Amaro after I stopped becoming in awe of Drew’s performances.

I also like Josh Krajcik and Chris Rene.

…I will get the YouTube to MP3 downloader and download all favorite videos I have there! But since I have limited space in my computer, I’d rather not just now. I will make do with watching my fave videos online. But when I get a new hard drive installed, I swear I will!

Music motivates me. Whenever I work, there has to be music in the background so as to squeeze the creative juices in me. I have to have mellow songs so as to help me write the novel I have been laboring over.

I need to have those videos as soon as possible!

Jennifer’s new mansion doesn’t have a guest room in it. When she learned about it, she asked the contractor to make sure a room in the house will be converted to a guest room as she always has someone come over for the night or on weekends. The room meant to be a walk-in closet of hers is being converted to a guest room complete with its own mini bar and kitchenette and quick step floors.

Jennifer’s parents will be coming over for the weekend and she told the contractor that the room should be done before then.

My friend was so scared during the more than 24-hour black out that happened recently. Because of that, a rechargeable battery is now a must for her. She can’t go without her gadgets for a day and she almost went crazy because her two laptops went out hours away from getting the electricity back.

Good thing that she found cafes where she managed to charge her laptops for a fee. But that black out dented her pockets a bit. Next time, she told herself, she will be ready for emergencies like that. Rechargeable batteries are just the start.

…nurses uniform! Well, can you blame the girls for being excited over it when they will be wearing those uniforms to take the oath next week? Yes, the girls have passed the licensure examinations for nursing students and are now registered nurses!

There are so many students trying to become nurses these days. It’s the one profession that is guaranteed you can get a job anywhere in the world. I have friends who are nurses and one of them is aiming to work outside the country. Greener pasture, you know. And I can understand her because she has a son who is now in high school.

What the hell TV5 big boss Manny V. Pangilinan was thinking???

There is a breaking news on the net today that Sharon Cuneta managed to bag a 1B-peso deal with TV5! The deal supposedly includes a talk show ala-Oprah. Whatever that deal includes I don’t think Sharon is still worth that much money. Consider the ratings of her recent TV shows in ABS-CBN. Can we all say flop queen?!? Even the interesting Pinoy edition of The Biggest Loser didn’t rate that much because people were talking about how she hosted the show and she was the one who didn’t even lose weight!

And for TV5 to give her that much for a contract with them? I don’t think Sharon is even worth 50M pesos anymore! Her popularity has waned over the past couple of years. She even is no longer the endorsement queen as Kris Aquino is apparently more credible than her. And John Lloyd Cruz for that matter.

Whether the scoop by Ricky Lo is true or false, the fact remains that Sharon Cuneta is no longer the megastar that she was. Her star is no longer as shiny as it used to and let’s face it, she’s LAOS na!

I have a friend who has one of those Technical Recruiter Consultant Jobs and has his eye on becoming a CEO in the future. He is ambitious but is against office politics of any kind. He does his work the best way he knows how. He works hard, even going to the office on weekends when needed. He also has no complains when his boss asks him to do work outside the scope of his job.

His boss once told him that by the time he resigns and gets the job he likes abroad, he will recommend Ben to the upper management. His boss sees a very dedicated worker in him. Someone who has the technical know how of the job and the charm of someone who knows how to market himself and the work he has.

When it comes to orchestrating a romantic interlude at home, she is an expert! Wanting to make sure that her husband won’t go looking for another, she plans days and nights of romance for them. She dresses up as his fantasies. That’s what she does at least once a week. And to make it more romantic, she prepares wine and berries dipped in chocolate always ready to set the mood. My friend and colleague was telling me about the metal buildings that are being erected near the metro railway. He said that those buildings will be designated ecozones where foreign companies can put up their offices and get a tax holiday in the process. Great idea! It will be a good way to lure foreign investors in the country.

The country needs more foreign investors to come in and create more jobs in the process. I know that medical tourism is still being pitched by Vicki Belo to the DOT. Her idea is a sound one I don’t know why the Tourism board isn’t doing something about it. There’s also the retirement houses that some sectors are pushing for the DOT to focus their campaign on. Again, I am not sure the Tourism board is doing something about it. Luring foreigners into the country can create jobs. I hope the Tourism board is listening.

One of the must-have in Kate’s travel kit is a tan towel. She doesn’t go out of town or country without a pack with her. Kate loves her tan and if she can only make it a permanent skin of hers, she would have done so. Unfortunately she is a fair-skinned woman and regular tanning is the only solution she knows on how to maintain an olive skin.
