When I registered for the coming national elections, I noticed classrooms in the local public high school with poor to no classroom furniture. I wonder where the funds are going. Or rather, I am angry that we all know where the funds are going but can’t do anything about it for fear of retribution from those in power. I just hope that whoever is replacing the current administration will focus more on education. It is extremely important because it is the foundation of our future.

I heard our neighbor asking my dad about the low cost health insurance that my grandma availed of years ago. It was not my dad who took care of it but rather his sister, my oldest aunt, who took care and paid for it. When I asked my dad why the neighbor is asking about it, I learned that one of our trusted neighbors is already blind. I didn’t know about it. That’s why he’s looking like a lost man most of the time I see him. It’s too bad that he has a bunch of kids who don’t care about him.

When I saw this information on lasik surgery Mexico, I realized that I passed on an opportunity for me to get back my 20/20 vision. A few years ago, I already have the funds for such a procedure. I’ve been wearing prescription glasses since second year high and would have wanted a 20/20 vision again. But I got scared and backed out. I chickened out! Ellen de Generes will be filling in the spot left by American Idol judge Paula Abdul. She announced it in a taped episode of her show The Ellen de Generes Show. She will be the 4th judge of the reality show alongside with Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi.

I really think that she will bring fresh blood to the FOX show. She’s funny and, as she said, will be representing the audience as she loves watching the show like the fans.
