Remaking ‘classic’ teleseryes

I think remaking classic teleseryes is a bad decision. Have you see an episode of the remake of Mula Sa Puso? The teleserye ended already. I saw a few episodes while waiting for TV Patrol and talk about mediocre acting! The lead stars were blah at best! I don’t know why that starlet Lauren Young was given a chance to topbill a classic teleserye. She had only one expression that of a worried young lass. She was nowhere near Claudine Barretto‘s acting prowess. And that guy who took over the role of the late Rico Yan? My goodness! I don’t know where ABS-CBN got that man! He clearly needed another talent workshop before being asked to step into a lead role!

Remaking a classic is bad decision. I hope the giant TV networks (ABS-CBN, GMA7 and TV5) will stop remaking classic teleseryes and movies and instead create new ones that will appeal to this day’s generation.

Extravagant Gift

I was sitting on my couch when I read in a celebrity magazine that world boxing champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao attended the 1st birthday party of local celebrities Claudine Barretto and Raymart Santiago’s son, Santino. What caught my attention was the gift that the Pacman gave the kid, who is also his godson…

A 500,000php check! Yes, that’s half a million pesos (roughly US$11,000)!

Lucky kid!
